Mullions and Frames

HomeMullions and Frames

At TDM, our mullion and frame cabinet door designs create elegant displays to complete the look of your updated cabinetry. Frequently used with glass inserts to showcase the contents inside the cabinets, mullion and frame door fronts may also be used as an accent feature with mirror, wire mesh, or solid inserts.

Mullions are available on every door panel profile that we offer to coordinate with our flat, raised and shaker cabinet doors in over 30 style options.

Please note that while we offer a wide selection of door styles, we do not provide the glass, mirror, or wire mesh inserts for the mullions and frames. You do have the option however, to request your mullion and frame is filled to create a solid door front or panel.

Product Overview

– All our mullion and frame doors are available in minimum sizes that apply from the original door ordered, including the interior and exterior profile.

– The process of making a mullion door is delicate work. Rebates are cut into frames, pressed with PVC and then cut. Customers should therefore be mindful that an additional one week is added for production.

– The mullion, the inside portion of the door frame, will have exposed MDF on the back after production and we recommend this is painted prior to installing the glass for the protection of the cabinet door.

– We suggest a glass thickness of 0.125” (3mm) to 0.1875” (5mm) for the best results. For dimensions over 48″, glass thickness of 0.1875″ or greater is recommended. Please note that we do not provide glass inserts.

Material and Finish Options

Our mullions and frames are as customizable as the rest of our products, with a range of over 130+ vibrant colors and thermofoil finishes to choose from for the surrounding frame.

While the mullion portion of the back of the door is unfinished, the default back for the frame of the door is finished in the classic white melamine. This may be customized to match the exterior color selected for your door front.
